What does the E-Board Do?
-
Managing the day to day operations of the Association, such as keeping members informed, scheduling conferences, and workshops, and other routine tasks.

Overseeing the distribution and expenditure of funds that are collected by the Association, and approving purchases for the furtherance of our mission.

Acting as the chief advocate on behalf of the Association in advocating for legislation that aligns with the legislative priorities approved by the Delegate Assembly.

Appointing the Directors of Communications, Legislative Affairs, Curriculums, Finances, Resources, Personnel, and Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, and actively ensuring Committees are on-track and making progress towards goals.
This is overseen by the Chief of Staff ensuring for clear and effective communication.
What does each member do?

Please Note the way our E-Board election works is as follows:
If you are interested in becoming a candidate for E-Board you fill out a form that will be posted in the weeks leading up to Delegate Assembly stating your interest, there will also be nominations the day of
All candidates will give a speech at the Delegate Assembly
Delegate Assembly Attendees will vote for the following seats: Sophomore Seat, Junior Seat, At Large Seat X3
The elected members will vote among themselves who will fill the following roles: Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary

The Chairperson is the presiding officer of the Executive Board and shall serve as the presiding officer of the Delegate Assembly.

The Vice-Chairperson shall assume the role of the Chair in the event that they are unable to fulfill their duties.

The Secretary is responsible for ensuring the recording of meeting minutes, the distribution of internal communications among the Executive Board, and shall work in consultation with the Director of Communications to ensure communications are effectively delivered among the rest of the association externally.

The remaining two members who are not voted into a formal position on the E-Board will serve as at large members. The at large members will join other E-Board members or the chief of staff in carrying out different responsibilities.

Directors
Directors are members of the Association that are appointed by the Executive Board to assist them in the daily operations of MASR. They function to advise the Executive Board on certain tasks and to take on the routine maintenance of some responsibilities assigned to the Executive Board.

The Director of Communication ensures that all members of the Association are informed, while also serving as the main external contact point for the Association, and fulfilling secretarial responsibilities for both the Executive Board and MASR as a whole.

Responsible for overseeing the revenues and expenditures of the Association, as well as advising the Executive Board on good use of our funds.

Drafting resolutions to sculpt the legislative priorities of the Association, and advising the Executive Board on steps to pursue the execution of legislative priorities voted on by the Delegate Assembly.

Will oversee the development of all trainings, workshops, research, and other resources/benefits offered to members of the Association.

Responsible for developing the Association’s list of curricular reform priorities and to take actionable steps towards the accomplishment of the Strategic Goals voted on by the Delegate Assembly.
